Archery at
the Anderton Centre

A fun, focused and rewarding activity where participants learn control, accuracy and confidence in a safe, supervised outdoor setting.

Take aim, build focus and enjoy the challenge

Archery is one of our most popular land-based activities because it is easy to understand, exciting to take part in and suitable for a wide range of groups.

Participants are guided by our instructors through the basics of stance, aiming, technique and safe shooting. Whether it is a first attempt or a friendly group competition, archery gives everyone the chance to improve, concentrate and celebrate progress.

It is especially useful for school groups, youth groups, holiday clubs, community groups and corporate teams because it gives everyone a clear goal and a shared experience without needing previous experience.

Good for mixed abilities

Participants can work at their own pace while still feeling part of the group.

Pairs well with other activities

Archery can sit alongside bushcraft, climbing, low ropes, problem solving and water activities as part of a full activity programme.
